who is this?

i'm a human living on the east coast of the USA.

i have too many hobbies, and terrible time management. some things i enjoy:

• visual art
• computers
• weird tech
• vintage tech
• synthesizers
• coding (i'm really bad tho)
• video games
• cats
• dogs

i grew up with one computer in the house. i spent a lot of time on it, whether i was gaming, making art, recording music, i just liked using it. i spent countless hours playing doom, my older cousins got me into WoW. when i got my own pc, i was sucked in. most days i'd come home from school and log on to some obscure eastern mmo. i didn't have friends that were into that sort of thing. i didn't even make friends online in these games, but i just wanted to experience these worlds.

i eventually got really interested in music. as a kid i used to make up soundtracks in my head when i was playing with toys, but they only existed there, i didn't know how to play any instruments, and my family wasn't exactly supportive of me learning music. i eventually convinced them to buy me a guitar. i'm still picking up the guitar almost every day 20 years later. i haven't improved that much in all honesty, but i love doing it. in high school i got really interested in synthesizers, but i didn't have the money to buy anything. years later, after progressing in my career, i've built up a collection of unique pieces of gear that i will likely cherish forever.
